The Pet Monologues

The most interetsing thing about the ability to see pets beyond that label "a pet" is the deeper connection and understanding that I have. I talk to pets and they answer. Their answers take on many forms, body language, telepathic communication and use of my intuition. The Pet Monologues blog will be my platform to share my day to day experiences.
So lets begin ! Cats and I have a deep affiliation. It just is. I think cats pick up on my abilities. Some see me as a challenge, others as an advocate
and then there are those self assured cats who really couldn't care who I am. These are the boss cats. They rule the world.
I have watched Cossack for many years now. Nothing has changed except our complete acceptance of one another. To say he was stand offish when we first met is an understatement. Nothing I did was right and he told me so. He would look away when I spoke to him but watch me very closely as I went about my tasks for him. He didn't just follow me. His energy radiated authority. His sleek black shiny fur, a reminder of his stature. He said he feels royal. I believe he is.
I have learned there are things that just aren't allowed, not feeding him first when I visit. He set the schedule, food, chat across from each other, sniff fresh air from the patio but only weather permitting, take his photo. Tell him how glorious he is. Do the menial chores only when he is done with my company. I changed the routine once, I decided to do the menial chores first so we could spend more time together. I could hear his voice loud and clear " This is not how it goes, the audacity. Food first !!" Cossack talks in a very British accent in my head. Almost as if he was British dignitary. No, Im wrong. He is British dignitary. And I am his maid. As years passed I became his confidante. This role was added upon the arrival of his sister Penelope but thats a blog for another day.
My take away from Cossack is always admire your favourite attribute, his sleek fur in his case, build trust before allowing anyone access to your most private thoughts. And my goodness be the Royalty you were meant to be.
